Maybe Marvel, but even they had Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man start off that 12-issue arc. Then I googled "winick fickle hands part 2." I can't believe that issue one is actually part 2. That's what I get for trying to trust a comic book publisher to start issue one with the beginning of a story.
